DIY (Do it Yourself Ideas)
This is our first DIY video!
Using our proprietary glow in the dark nuggets you too can create glowing pendants, jewelry, zipper pulls, and more. Our glow nuggets are recharge by absorbing both sunlight and artificial light. They are non-toxic and will last forever.
For this video we used the following:
1. Clear 2 Part Resin*
2. Glow Nuggets Available Here (http://www.uvpaqlite.com/Glow-in-the-...)
3. Black Extra Fine Glitter
4. Jewelry Mold
5. Mold Release (available at any craft store or Amazon)
6. Disposable Cup and Spoon
Notes:
Resin - You can use an epoxy or a jewelry resin. The one used in the video is a non-yellowing 2 part resin that can be mixed in equal parts by weight (using a gram scale) or by volume (draw a line on a disposable measuring cup). Just follow the directions of the epoxy for cure times and temperatures.
Glow in the Dark Nuggets - Don't try using black glitter with the glow in the dark powder (you need BIG nuggets to make this work).
Glitter- Extra fine works the best! Add the desired amount (you don't have to weigh it) just make sure it's the color you want but more black = less glow...so keep that in mind.
Jewelry Mold- Use any jewelry or chocolate mold you want. Don't forget to spray it with mold release or you'll never get it out. I like silicone because they're easy to work with but I get good results using chocolate molds too.
Mold Release- If you don't use this sometimes the pendant will get stuck in the mold but it also helps your mold last longer.
